Support the Voice of Albertans with Disabilities Endowment Fund
To ensure the viability of our organization and its programs, VAD has instituted the Voice of Albertans with Disabilities Endowment Fund. The board believes this initiative will enhance the long-term sustainability of VAD and allow us to address the loss of funding both from government cuts and fluctuations in fundraising endeavours. We encourage friends and supporters of VAD to contribute to the VAD Endowment Fund.
Donate a Car
Donate A Car Canada accepts vehicle donations for VAD. Donate A Car Canada provides free towing in many areas across Canada or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, it will either be recycled or sold at auction depending on its condition, age and location. Donate A Car Canada looks after all the details—making it easy for you to support VAD. VAD will send you a tax receipt for the amount received from your car donation.
Door-to-Door Fundraising Program
VAD’s programs and services are supported by door-to-door fundraising by selling candles and collecting donations. At the present time our only door to door canvasser, Jeff, is raising support in Edmonton. About Donald Gordon McArthur
In 2004, the Voice of Albertans with Disabilities received a generous legacy from the estate of Mr. Donald Gordon McArthur, an advocate of the disability community and a long-standing member of our board of directors. After careful consideration and out of respect for the dedication Mr. McArthur had shown in his unfailing commitment to Alberta’s disability community, VAD used this legacy to create the Donald Gordon McArthur Endowment Fund.
