What
We Do - Bursaries and Awards
Education for Life Bursary
In honor of our 25th anniversary in 1998, the Alberta Committee
implemented the Education for Life Bursary. With this annual award,
we support and encourage individuals in upgrading their education,
preparing them to meet the challenges of a post-secondary education.
Each year, this bursary assists first-time, post-secondary learners
in overcoming the financial barriers they may encounter when taking
on new educational challenges.
The bursary is awarded to people with disabilities at the entry
level or those attempting one course to begin their post-secondary
education.
The names of the recipients are included in a variety of ACCD publications
such as our Annual Report and our newsletter, Action News.
