Overview

Education for Life Bursary

In honor of our 25th anniversary in 1998, the Alberta Committee implemented the Education for Life Bursary. With this annual award, we support and encourage individuals in upgrading their education, preparing them to meet the challenges of a post-secondary education.

Each year, this bursary assists first-time, post-secondary learners in overcoming the financial barriers they may encounter when taking on new educational challenges. The bursary is awarded to people with disabilities at the entry level or those attempting one course to begin their post-secondary education.

Council of Canadians with Disabilities Award

Each year ACCD presents the Council of Canadians with Disabilities award to an Alberta citizen for his or her "dedication and integrity in the continuing pursuit of full participation in society by people with disabilities in Alberta."
